The Roth 401(k), a investment option that will be available next year, is garnering a lukewarm response from employers who are still waiting for other regulatory shoes to drop.

Bruce Ruud, founder of Bruce Ruud & Associates, an employee benefits and financial planning consulting firm in New Braunfels, Texas, has noticed "moderate interest" from employers. He cites uncertainties over record keeping, payroll implementation and IRS regulations as the major roadblocks keeping employers from jumping on the Roth 401(k) bandwagon.
